Principal / Founder

Ramp was founded in Seattle, Washington in 2023 by Ron Nelson on the belief that AI will continue to be the catalyst for further innovation in every industry. In proximate terms, the ecosystem around Generative AI and LLMs is rapidly evolving, and businesses are seeking help to demystify the toolchain, architecture, and operational patterns for integrating LLMs at scale.

Ron has 25+ years of software engineering expertise including 15+ years leading large commercial SaaS engineering teams. He spent the last 7 years delivering AI-powered SaaS products in the InsurTech industry. These products are used by virtually every automotive insurance company in the United States to process tens of millions of claims annually. He is a named inventor on several patents related to AI-processing and has participated in case studies with Microsoft.
